Copy the post link
Copy the URL from the post's page, or a direct i.imgur.com link ending in .mp4, .webm or .gifv. Both shapes are recognised, and a gallery link works too as long as it contains one video.

Galleries, GIFs, and where Imgur stops
Imgur is less a video platform than an image host that happens to carry video, and that difference shows up in the URL shapes. A single post is easy. A gallery is a container: pvdownloader reads it, and if exactly one video sits inside, that video is resolved and downloaded.
